The Hardest Cuts
While I worked on this book project, I completed more than 200 hikes. Some of these were hikes I had done many times before, and some were hikes that were new to me. As the scope of this project began to take shape, I began to realize that I could not possibly include every hike I researched in this book. I ultimately decided to feature 125 hikes in this book. In honor of the great Texas indie rock band Spoon, I am calling the hikes that did not make it “the hardest cuts”. Here is a list of some of my favorites:
